Hello, my name is Cristina Girona Martínez, and I am a family doctor and nutritionist. At Belaneve, I am in charge of the Family Medicine and Nutrition consultations , where I address health holistically, taking into account not only the physical aspects but also the emotional and social ones.
I combine my work in Primary Care, within the public health sector, with my work in the private sector, and over time I've learned that treatment isn't based solely on drugs, but also on good nutrition, sustainable habits, and active and close listening.
I chose medicine without knowing all the opportunities it would offer me. Working in healthcare centers and emergency departments, I discovered that, despite so many years of training, there was still much to learn about the role of nutrition in our health. That's why I decided to further my training as a dietitian-nutritionist, a path that has been as challenging as it has been rewarding.
I'm interested in investigating the origin of each symptom, understanding the context of each case, and setting realistic and sustainable goals. I don't believe in mindless diets, but rather in providing practical tools, educating people on self-care, and supporting change processes with an empathetic and personalized approach.
